Boulevard of Greens (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a healthy, fresh café, juice bar and coffee shop at 2700 Horne St #110 in Fort Worth, Texas. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the café, order from us, call us, sign up for our emails or use our website, boulevardofgreens.com; how we use it; who helps us handle it; and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, just ask us at hello@boulevardofgreens.com.
The Short Version
- We collect what you give us (a form, an order, a rewards sign-up, a phone call) and what the tools on our website and ordering page collect automatically, such as which pages you open.
- We do not sell your personal information for money, and we never sell or rent out your email address.
- Payments, online orders, rewards, gift cards and our marketing emails and texts run on Square. Our website statistics and some of our ads run on Google, and some of our ads run on Facebook and Instagram (Meta).
- You are in control: use Cookie Choices at the bottom of any page, unsubscribe from any email, reply STOP to any text, or ask us to leave you out of customer-list ads.
What This Policy Covers
Our café (the register and the self-order kiosk), our website at boulevardofgreens.com, our online ordering page run by Square (boulevard-of-greens.square.site), and our calls, emails, texts and review requests. Other sites we link to, such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, delivery apps and job sites, have their own policies, and we do not control them.
Information We Collect
What You Give Us
- Forms on our website. When you use our contact form, our catering or private event request forms, or our job application form, we receive what you enter: for example your name, email, phone number and message; for a request, the date, time, number of guests and other details of your order or event; for a job application, the role you want, when you can work, your experience and your résumé if you attach one. Each form is emailed to our team at hello@boulevardofgreens.com, and what you type is also kept in our website’s form records so we can reply. With every form, the website also records the date and time, the page it was sent from, your IP address and your browser type.
- Email sign-up. When you sign up with Join the List at the bottom of any page, we receive your name and email address so we can send you our news and offers. It is emailed to our team and kept in the same form records.
- Orders and payments. Orders at the register, the kiosk and our online ordering page are processed by Square, our point-of-sale company. Square handles card payments, so we never receive or store your full card number. We receive the order, the amount, the card brand, the last four digits, and a code that Square makes from the card (it is not the card number) that tells us when the same card comes back. When you pay by card, Square may create a customer profile from the payment so it can send you a receipt if you ask for one and recognize you next time.
- Our online ordering page. When you order online, sign up or send a request there, or create a customer account there, Square keeps the details you give (such as your name, email, phone number and order) in our customer records.
- Rewards and gift cards. If you join our rewards program or buy or use a gift card, Square keeps the details you give (such as your phone number or email), your points and your purchases so the program works.
- Phone calls. When you call 817.782.9070, our phone system (Zoom) keeps call details, such as the time and the number that called, and any voicemail you leave, so we can call you back and improve our service.
- Delivery apps. If you order through DoorDash, Uber Eats or Grubhub, the app collects your information under its own policy and passes your order, with the details it chooses to share, to our register.
- Reviews and feedback. Reviews you post on Google or other sites are public, and we may reply to them publicly. If you answer one of our review requests privately (see below), we receive your rating and comments and use them to improve.
What Is Collected Automatically
- Website statistics. Our website uses Google Analytics to see how it is used: which pages are opened, the type of device and browser, roughly where visitors are and how they found us, and when someone taps our phone number, Order Online or directions, or sends a form. Google Analytics uses cookies (see our Cookie Policy) and gives your browser a random ID, not your name or email. We keep a copy of these statistics in our own private reporting system.
- Google Ads. Our Google tag is connected to Google Ads. That lets us see which of our Google ads led to a visit, and lets Google show our ads again to people who have visited our website.
- Details typed into forms. Our Google tag can notice an email address, phone number or street address typed into a form on our website and send Google a scrambled (hashed) copy, which Google uses to measure our ads. This happens only while advertising cookies are allowed (see “Ads and Your Choices” below).
- Meta (Facebook) pixel. Our website also runs the Meta pixel. It tells Meta when someone opens a page, taps our phone number or Order Online, or sends our contact, catering or private-event form, so we can measure our Facebook and Instagram ads and show them to people who visited. If you type an email address, name, city, state or ZIP code into a form on our website, the pixel may send Meta a scrambled (hashed) copy so Meta can match the visit to a Meta account. It does not send phone numbers this way. The pixel runs only while advertising cookies are allowed (see “Ads and Your Choices” below).
- Our online ordering page. The ordering page runs on Square, not on our website. Square and the tools it uses set their own cookies there, and we run the Meta (Facebook) pixel on it, which tells Meta when someone views the page, adds an item to the cart or places an order, so we can measure our ads and show them to people who visited. Our website’s cookie choices do not control that page.
- Outside servers. When a page of our website loads, your browser also fetches our fonts from Adobe Fonts and some code and pictures from Google’s servers, so those companies see your IP address and browser details, as they would for any website.
Ads to Our Own Customers
To show our ads on Facebook and Instagram to people who have bought from us or signed up with us, and to people similar to them, we may share a scrambled (hashed) copy of the email address and phone number in our customer records with Meta. Hashing turns the address or number into a code, so it is not sent as plain text. It does not make it anonymous: Meta compares the code with codes made the same way from its own users’ details to find matching accounts. Meta says it uses this only to find matches and then deletes it, and it does not tell us who matched. We send nothing else for this: no names and no order details. We may group customers (for example, people who ordered recently, people we have not seen in a while, and the customers who spend the most with us) so our ads fit them. Unsubscribing from our emails or texts does not take you off these ad lists. That is a separate choice (see “Ads and Your Choices”).
Emails, Texts and Review Requests
Emails. Our marketing emails are sent through Square, and every one has an unsubscribe link. Square tells us how many people opened an email or clicked a link, and whether a purchase followed.
Texts. If you sign up for texts from us, we send them through Square. They are mostly offers and rewards updates. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop them. Agreeing to receive texts is never a condition of buying anything.
Review requests. After a visit, we may email or text you to ask how it went and to invite you to leave a review. Today these requests are sent for us by Birdeye, a review service, using the contact details in our Square customer records, and we may also send them ourselves from our café’s own mailbox. Every request gives you a way to stop receiving them. If you answer privately instead of posting a review, we use your comments to improve and do not post them.
Ads and Your Choices
We use Google and Meta to measure our ads and to show them to people who have visited our website or ordering page, or who are in our customer records. Some laws call this “targeted advertising.” Here is how to say no:
- On our website: press Cookie Choices at the bottom of any page and choose Decline. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we turn advertising cookies off for you automatically. Visitors in Europe start with analytics and advertising cookies off until they press Accept; before a choice, Google’s tag may still send the basic signals without cookies described in “What Decline Does and Does Not Do” in our Cookie Policy.
- Customer-list ads: email hello@boulevardofgreens.com with the email address or phone number you gave us and ask to be left out. We keep a do-not-advertise list and leave the email addresses and phone numbers on it out of the customer lists we share with Meta. You will stay in our own records.
- Our ordering page on Square: our website’s cookie choices do not reach it. Use your browser’s cookie settings and the Google and Meta settings below.
- Google: manage ads at adssettings.google.com, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Facebook and Instagram: use the ad settings in your own account.
- Industry opt-out: youradchoices.com.
How We Use Information
We use it to serve you and run the café (taking and fulfilling orders, running rewards and gift cards, answering calls and messages); to reply to forms and requests and to review job applications; to send offers, updates and review requests; to understand what is working, such as which dishes and offers people like, using the sales and customer records we copy from Square into our own private reporting system; to measure and improve our website and our ads; to keep our website and café safe and prevent spam and fraud; and to follow the law.
Who We Share It With
We share information only with the companies that help us run Boulevard of Greens, and when the law requires it:
- Square, for payments, orders, the kiosk, online ordering, rewards, gift cards, customer profiles, and our emails and texts. Square’s privacy notice: squareup.com/us/en/legal/general/privacy.
- Google, for website statistics and ads.
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for ads, as described above.
- Birdeye, for review requests and managing our reviews.
- Zoom, our phone system.
- Indeed, where we post jobs and receive applications.
- DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub, for delivery orders, under their own policies.
- Our website host and the email service that delivers our website’s form messages.
- Adobe, for the fonts on our website.
- Our professional advisers, and others when the law requires it. If Boulevard of Greens is ever sold or merged, customer records may move to the new owner.
Cookies
Our Cookie Policy lists the cookies on our website and ordering page and explains how to change your choices.
How Long We Keep It and How We Protect It
We keep customer, order and form records for as long as we need them to serve you and run the café, and as the law requires (for example, for tax records). We keep them in password-protected accounts and systems and rely on the safeguards of the companies named above. No way of storing or sending information is completely secure.
Your Choices and Rights
- Cookies: use Cookie Choices at the bottom of any page to accept or decline analytics and advertising cookies at any time.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends this signal, we honor it for advertising cookies on our website. We do not respond to the older “Do Not Track” setting.
- Emails and texts: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or reply STOP to any text.
- Your information: you can ask whether we hold personal information about you and for a copy of it, ask us to correct or delete it, and ask us not to use it for targeted advertising. These are the requests described in the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, and we honor them wherever you live. We reply within 45 days, and usually much sooner. If we cannot do what you ask, we will tell you why, and you can ask us to look again by replying to our answer.
- Visitors from outside the United States: our café serves Fort Worth, Texas. If you visit our website from Europe, analytics and advertising cookies start off until you accept them.
To make a request, email hello@boulevardofgreens.com, call 817.782.9070 or ask at the café. We may ask a few questions to confirm it is you before we change or share anything.
Children
Our website and online ordering are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
