This page explains the cookies and similar tools on our website (boulevardofgreens.com) and on our online ordering page, what each one does, how long it lasts, and how to change your choices. It goes together with our Privacy Policy.
What Is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves in your browser, so it can remember your browser between pages and visits. “Similar tools” do the same job in other ways, such as your browser’s local storage, or tiny images (pixels) that tell a company a page was opened. Below, we call all of them cookies to keep it short.
The Short Version
- Our website uses cookies from Google and Meta (Facebook) to count visits and to measure and show our ads. It also keeps one note in your browser: your cookie choice.
- Our online ordering page is run by Square and has its own cookies, including a Meta (Facebook) advertising cookie. Our website’s cookie choices do not control that page.
- In the United States, these cookies are on unless you decline. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we turn advertising cookies off for you. In Europe, they start off until you accept.
- You can change your mind at any time: use Cookie Choices at the bottom of any page.
Cookies on boulevardofgreens.com
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long | Your choice |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga and _ga_70YR13BGTB |
Google Analytics | Gives your browser a random ID so we can count visits, see which pages are used and see how people reach us. It holds no name or email. | Up to 2 years | Analytics. Off when you press Decline. |
_gcl_au |
Google Ads | Helps measure whether someone who clicked one of our Google ads then visited or took an action, such as calling us. | 90 days | Advertising. Off when you press Decline or your browser sends Global Privacy Control. |
_gcl_ls (browser storage, not a cookie) |
Google Ads | Does the same job as _gcl_au. |
Until you clear your browser’s site data | Advertising. Off when you press Decline or your browser sends Global Privacy Control. |
| Google’s own advertising cookies (kept on Google’s websites, such as google.com and doubleclick.net, not on ours) | Because our Google tag is connected to Google Ads, your browser may send Google the cookies Google already keeps on its own websites. Google uses them to show our ads again to people who visited our website and to measure our ads. We cannot see or list them. | Set by Google, under Google’s rules | Advertising. Off when you press Decline or your browser sends Global Privacy Control. | |
_fbp |
Meta (Facebook), through the Meta pixel on our website | Gives your browser a random ID so Meta can recognize it, so we can measure our Facebook and Instagram ads and show them to people who visited our website. It holds no name or email. | 90 days | Advertising. Off when you press Decline or your browser sends Global Privacy Control. |
_fbc |
Meta (Facebook), through the Meta pixel on our website | Saved only when you arrive from one of our Facebook or Instagram ads. It records that ad click so we can see whether the ad led to a visit or an action. | 90 days | Advertising. Off when you press Decline or your browser sends Global Privacy Control. |
| Meta’s own cookies (kept on Meta’s websites, such as facebook.com and instagram.com, not on ours) | Meta (Facebook) | When the Meta pixel runs, your browser may send Meta the cookies Meta already keeps on its own websites if you use Facebook or Instagram. Meta uses them to show our ads to people who visited our website and to measure our ads. We cannot see or list them. | Set by Meta, under Meta’s rules | Advertising. Off when you press Decline or your browser sends Global Privacy Control. |
boulevard_consent (browser storage, not a cookie) |
Us | Remembers whether you pressed Accept or Decline, so we do not ask again and your choice applies on your next visit. It does not track you. | Until you clear your browser’s site data | Needed for your choice to stick. |
Other things you may notice:
- Our website host does not set any cookies on visitors. If you are a team member signed in to edit the site, WordPress sets sign-in cookies for you; visitors do not get them.
- Our forms (contact, catering, private events, careers and the Join the List sign-up) do not use cookies. They use a hidden spam check and a short timer instead of a “prove you are human” box.
- Outside servers. To show a page, your browser also fetches our fonts from Adobe Fonts and some code and pictures from Google’s servers. Those companies see your IP address and browser details when that happens, as they would for any website.
Cookies on Our Online Ordering Page (Square)
When you press Order Online, you go to boulevard-of-greens.square.site, a page run by Square. We do not control that page’s cookies, and the cookie choices on boulevardofgreens.com do not turn them off. When we last checked (October 2026), an ordinary visit to that page set the following.
| Name | Set by | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
_fbp |
Meta (Facebook), through the Meta pixel we run on this page | Advertising. Lets Meta recognize your browser so we can measure our ads and show them to people who visited the page. | 90 days |
_snow_id…, _snow_ses… and sp |
Square’s site statistics | Counts visits and visit sessions on the ordering page. | Up to 400 days for the ID; about 30 minutes for the session |
customer_session, PublishedSiteSession |
Square | Keeps your visit, your cart and any sign-in together while you order. | From the end of your visit up to 28 days |
XSRF-TOKEN, customer_xsrf, publishedsite-xsrf, websitespring-xsrf |
Square | Security. Protects the page, its forms and checkout. | From the end of your visit up to 28 days |
_dd_s and browser-storage items starting _dd_c_rum |
Square’s performance monitoring | Measures how fast the page loads and where it fails. | About 15 minutes |
Browser-storage items site-visitor-uuid, lastExternalReferrer, lastExternalReferrerTime |
Square | Square’s visitor ID and the page you came from. | Until you clear your browser’s site data |
When you check out, Square’s payment tools may set more. Square can change these cookies at any time; its own rules are in its privacy notice at squareup.com/us/en/legal/general/privacy.
Your Choices
- On our website: press Cookie Choices at the bottom of any page. Accept turns Google’s analytics and advertising cookies and the Meta pixel on. Decline turns them off and deletes the Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta cookies our website had already saved in your browser. We remember your choice in your browser.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser or an extension sends this signal, we turn advertising cookies off automatically. Analytics stays on unless you also press Decline. If you press Accept after that, your choice wins.
- In Europe: analytics and advertising cookies start off. The cookie bar appears, and no analytics or advertising cookies are saved until you press Accept (before a choice, Google’s tag may still send the basic signals without cookies described in What Decline Does and Does Not Do). We tell where you are from your browser’s time zone, which is a good guess but not perfect, so you can use Cookie Choices at any time, wherever you are.
- In your browser: every browser lets you block or delete cookies; look in its settings under Privacy or Cookies. Blocking all cookies can stop parts of our ordering page from working.
- Google: manage ads at adssettings.google.com, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. How Google uses information from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- Facebook and Instagram: use the ad settings in your own account.
- Industry opt-out: youradchoices.com.
What Decline Does and Does Not Do
Decline stops our Google tag from saving analytics and advertising cookies in your browser. Google’s tag may still send basic signals that do not use cookies, for example that a page was opened, which Google uses to estimate overall traffic; they carry no advertising ID. Decline also stops the Meta pixel on our website: it does not load, or it stops sending from that moment. Decline on our website does not change anything on our online ordering page, which has its own tools (see above).
Changes
